With its core 3D Optical MEMS technology, CALIENT has developed its flagship FiberConnect 320X photonic switch. The FiberConnect 320X is based on the company’s patented 3D Optical MEMS technology and uses silicon micro mirrors to switch fiber-optic photons. The FiberConnect 320X platform offers the industry’s highest density photonic switching with 640 fiber terminations or 320 ports (transmit and receive). The FiberConnect 320X is built with reliability and redundancy for mission-critical applications, with all key electronics cards being hot swappable to eliminate a single point of failure.

The FiberConnect 320X has an installed base of 70,000 fiber terminations, is Telcordia certified for reliability and been shipping to Tier 1 service providers and equipment vendors for the last eight years and has had no in-service failures.
