The Calient DiamondWave® PXC photonic switches offer an ideal solution for the deployment of cost-effective and future-proof optical networks, optimized for a wide variety of applications and services. The transparency and scalability of DiamondWave® PXC are particularly adapted to consolidating data, voice and video traffic under a common platform, as well as to support new transparent services.
A key innovation of the DiamondWave® photonic switch is Calient's MEMS-based mirror array switching technology, which enables hundreds of streams of light to be switched in a volume the size of a sugar cube. As a result, DiamondWave® photonic switches are bit-rate and protocol independent, and can process enormous traffic capacity in a compact and power-saving chassis.
