Software Engineers
CALIENT Technologies, world leader in Photonic Switching Technology, located in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA, is looking for a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to deliver fast-track software solutions for Tier 1 Data Center Customers and Telco Equipment Partners, beginning from product definition, Development, validation through deployment. The successful candidate should be capable of developing real-time embedded software from through implementation and integration.
The candidate will:
- Design and develop device drivers, middleware and board support packages in various processors PPC, X86 with embedded operating Linux.
- Design and develop embedded software applications
- Work closely with hardware engineers
- The candidate must be a team player with aptitude for quick-learning, effective communicator
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 8+ years software development experience
- 5+ years in designing and developing embedded software development using RTOS
- Experience validating RTOS for board with experience creating BSP for Linux.
- Understanding of software development process and life cycle for Data Center and Telecom products
- Thorough understanding of object oriented concepts and continues development model
- Modular design for high availability
